Soooo here the big question: is this only a button which is triggered but doesn't have any effect actually?Ī320 after landing: Brake temp around 350☌.Ī320 after 25-30min of turnaround: Brake temp around 180☌ (do not apply parking brakes if you have chocks). So I took off anyway and even kept the gear extended until FL100 but still ended up with blown tires shortly before I reached my CRZ FL of 300. I asked the controller to hold at the intersection for some more minutes to let the brakes cool down a bit, but in the end I only lost further 10☌ after a few more minutes. I ended up holding short of the holding point RW 26R with still 600☌ indicated and the ECAM Memo told me to delay T/O because of hot brakes. I stood there for at least 5 minutes, to figure out what the problem was (hardware related) and after that had to backtrack nearly the whole runway via N with the brake fans still activated. Nevertheless as I activated my parking brakes on A14 I also activated the brake fans. Have had a rejected T/O yesterday, where my brakes heated up to ~ 640☌. After vacating 26R in EDDM I was standing quiet a while on Taxiway A14 to figure out why my controls were not working any more as intended all of the sudden.
